Owner of the clinic with his wife. Trained at the University of Toronto and earned his Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. A primary care optometrist with a passion for patients of all ages, and the published author of Captain Clear: The Epic Myopia Wars, a children's book on eye care.

If your child's prescription has climbed at every visit, or you are worried about how much time they spend on screens, this program is built for them.
Myopia is more than thicker glasses every year. It is a progressive disease that raises lifetime risk of macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and glaucoma. The earlier we track it, the more we can protect a child's long-term vision.
We now offer the measurement that matters most for myopia: ocular biometry, a precise multi-point scan that captures the length of the eye and other dimensions that change as myopia progresses.
The measurement & the plan
Prescription changes are a lagging indicator. By the time a child needs a stronger lens, the eye has already changed. Ocular biometry lets us see the progression months earlier and act in time.
We choose the approach with you, based on the data, not a guess. And every kid in the program receives Captain Clear: The Epic Myopia Wars, a comic-adventure written by our own Dr. Phil Xue. Empowers children to take ownership of their eye health.
